The Motor Schools Association - North East

The Motor Schools Association north east meet 29th Oct 2017 The Motor Schools Association of Great Britain (MSA) was formed on March 31, 1935, just before the driving test was introduced. The MSA's principal aims, then as now, are to keep members informed of any matters of interest to them, to represent the views of members to Government, its departments and agencies, to provide services that will be of benefit to members and to set standards of professional and ethical behavior for teachers of driving.

Full MSA membership is reserved for DSA approved driving instructors, however trainees, prospective driving instructors, driving school proprietors and other interested parties may also join but are not allowed to vote. Prospective driving instructors (PDIs) are welcomed into MSA membership and on qualification are converted to full members at no extra charge. The MSA also offers membership to LGV instructors.

The MSA is a company limited by guarantee. Formal title The Motor Schools Association of Great Britain Ltd. Registered in London 615026. The associations registered office is at 101 Wellington Road North, Stockport, Cheshire SK4 2LP and the VAT Registration number is 548 3601 37. The MSA is run on behalf of members by the Board of Management. Board members, who are all working driving instructors, are democratically elected at local elections held in each of the association's 10 regions. They are paid no salary for the work they do.
