1. Draft sites

No copying of files or artwork from draft sites is permitted.

2. Use of the draft

No artwork, including reworked logos can be used on any other site. Drafts will be removed after 2 weeks unless an extension is requested. Using a redirect or frames on a live site to display the draft is strictly forbidden and will result in the draft being immediately removed.

3. New Domain registrations

If we are registering a new domain name (website address) for you, then this is done on your behalf and in your name. Ownership of any domain that transferred to us is not changed.

4a. Payments

You can pay for your site using a credit or debit card via PayPal (no account required) or by direct bank payment.

If paid via PayPal, a payment confirmation will be sent by PayPal. Our invoice receipt will be available to view and print in the 'Your account' section of the control panel as soon as your site is live.

No card information is retained by us.

4b. Split payments

We are usually able to offer split payments (promo offers not always included) with an initial payment of 15% or more and then upto 6 payments of the balance plus our fee. The actual amounts payable are clearly displayed when paying and opting to pay on a split payment basis is a commitment to pay the full amount within the number of payments specified (up to 6).

Monthly payments are not taken automatically and need to be paid via the control panel. Standing order payments can be accepted by arrangement but you will need to set this up with your bank. Please ask for appropriate information if you want to pay using this method.

Late monthly payments can result in your site going offline so should you have problems making payment then please let us know.

5a. Getting your site live.

We aim to have new sites live within 2 working days but this can be longer if there are a lot of alterations to be made. If unsure and getting your site up very quickly is essential, please seek clarification prior to placing your order.

5b. Domain tansfers

If you have an existing domain, then the transfer process can delay getting the site live and although we make every effort to sort this for you, the actual transfer process is out of our hands. The time taken for a transfer can vary depending on the domain type (eg. ,co.uk, .com, .ie etc) and on the current hosts as some work faster than others. If unsure, please seek clarification prior to ordering.

After registering a new domain, it cannot be transferred for 60 days. If you want to register a domain yourself, we recommend you Names Co. Because we use this company for our hosting, we will be able to transfer your domain without having to wait for the 60 days to expire.

The customer is responsible for any transfer fee payable to existing hosts.

6. The service

When ordering, the service includes the setup of the website for hosting on our dedicated server, Email address creation and access to our editing facility. We also do work on your site where required eg. to change / add images supplied and work required on wording etc that you are unable to do via the control panel.

Although every effort is made to make the sites to be as search friendly as we can, we do not guarantee search placings, however, we would expect your domain name to be in the Google search listing within 7-10 days of going live.

Should you want to employ a 3rd party SEO Company to work on your site, please note that you are responsible for giving them access to your control panel so they can do the necessary work.

Direct access to the sites file system is not permitted (eg via FTP) as this could compromise our database security. There can be NO exceptions to this. Changes to a sites htaccess file is also not permissible.

Please check that these are not essential before going ahead. If in doubt, please ask them to contact us.

We advise customers to be very careful of companies offering 'guaranteed listings' as the majority of these companies do not live up to their promises but you will find yourself in a 12 month contract with no way out of it

7. Optional downloadable content

You can load Word or PDF documents to system for your pupils to download. What you upload is entirely up to you but any copyright infringements are solely your responsibility. Should we be advised of an infringement, documents will be removed until it has been confirmed that they are ok to use. Any abusive or inappropriate documents will be removed without notice and the facility could be removed.

We reserve the right to remove content and remove this facility from your site immediately, without refund, if inappropriate (abusive, adult, racist etc.) documents are loaded.

8. Use of generic text on optional terms and conditions page

One of the available options is a terms and conditions page. We can supply initial content for this but we recommend that you change these to suit your needs as soon as possible. We accept no responsibility for any issues arising from the use of the statement.

9. Copyright infringements

Any logos, photos or other content supplied by the customer will be assumed as viable for use on their site. Any issues relating to the use of any supplied content is solely the responsibility of the customer and we can accept no responsibility for it use.

10. Cancellations

Should you not want to continue using our service, providing all payments are up to date, there is just a £15 transfer out fee for the domain. The transfer out process varies depending on the domain type and we will send you the appropriate information at the time. Timescales for the transfer process can also vary from a few hours to 5-10 days but. This is not within our control, however, we would normally be able to keep your site live until the transfer is complete.

All aspects of the site, other than that supplied by the customer (eg. Customers own photos/ logo / text) remain our copyright and property and cannot be transferred.

11. Refunds

Since we supply non-tangible irrevocable goods and services we do not issue refunds after a product has been set up or, for new sites, if an existing domain cannot be transferred (in this case we will usually be able to register an alternative domain of the same type for you at no extra charge).

You are responsible for understanding this upon purchasing any service from us.

12. SEO

Although sites are search friendly, there is no such thing as a 'guaranteed listing'. Although we have many sites with page 1 listing, no promises are made in relation to how individual sites will rank as there are many factors outside our control.
